As the year kicks off, so do the announcements of music festival lineups. Music lovers can barely contain their excitement as their favorite artists appear atop various festival lineup posters. Starting with Coachella, the annual desert fest held in Indio, Calif., fans clamored social media channels to express their joy. Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, and Radiohead headline the festival, while other popular artists like Travis Scott, the xx, Bon Iver, Lorde, Future, Schoolboy Q, and many, many more are scheduled to perform as well.
Coachella is one of, if not the most popular music festival right now. With as stacked a lineup as they’re offering this year, it’s no surprise it sold out in minutes. But if you missed your chance at Indio, don’t fret: there are plenty of other festivals that look promising. Governor’s Ball in NYC recently released its lineup. With acts like Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Lorde, Wiz Khalifa, Cage the Elephant, Beach House, and more, it is unlikely to disappoint.
The 2017 music fest circuit looks promising so far. Regardless of how bad of a year 2016 might have been generally, as a music lover, you cannot help but admit its greatness.
